Stop scrolling and listen to this - Do you honestly think there is only one pathway, one person, one friendship, one career meant for all of us? Because that sounds less like life and more like a very boring set menu.

The minute I realised there are billions of possible pathways available to us, I felt this ridiculous sense of freedom and relief. Like taking off shoes that were a size too small and realising your feet were never the problem.

Life should be the path we choose for ourselves, not the one quietly assigned by friends, parents, relatives, or whoever shouted loudest at the time.

It took me until 50 to become my true, authentic self, and honestly, I am only p*ssed off I did not clock it sooner.

I genuinely believed the path I was on, as a married “kept” woman (which I was miserable in) was my only one. So when that life disappeared through divorce and raising my children full time, I panicked. Proper, blindsided panic. Because I could not see where I was meant to go next, not yet, anyway.

But here is the truth. As humans, we will cling to an “unhappy hell” like it is a security blanket, rather than risk a “contented heaven” that might actually liberate the crap out of us.

And now, I am walking around Copenhagen with my children, thinking… this version of my life did not even exist on my old map. Had I worked a 9-5 I wouldn’t be able to do this, and if I had, I would’ve been panicking about how many holiday days I had left. Ugh.

If I had stayed where I was, I would never have found it. This new life, and stamping on a generational curse. I promise you, we’re resourceful humans , we find a better life if the old one sucks. Time and consistent effort and altruism, and boom.

It should be a crime to disguise a beautiful face like this. Poorly placed or puffy, hydrophilic filler, or simply too much of it, can mask the beauty of even the most gorgeous faces. Softly Chiselled, refined features will always look better than puffy, amorphous ones. At its worst, people can cease to look human and take on a feline or alien appearance.

Narcissists probably keep me in business, although the unprofessional side of me does, on a weekly basis, consider a side quest to remove them from humanity altogether. You have no idea how many shells of women we see after one has slowly dismantled the confidence we’ve spent years helping them build.

Nothing gives me a buzz quite like seeing a woman who arrived as a shell walk out of our doors with a spring in her step, a bright goodbye, and that quiet confidence of someone who can’t stop catching her own reflection and smiling. After that, there’s no stopping her. Revenge body, but make it restoration.

I’ve lived it myself. My ex, post breakup, actually cancelled my boob job behind my back after hearing I was finally getting the surgery I’d always wanted. “No woman of mine is getting that done.” He conveniently forgot we hadn’t been together for quite some time and I was very much not his woman. Thankfully.

I’m not scared of it because I choose my surgeons properly, I pay for everything myself, and if I’m getting on a plane for it… it’s because I’ve done my homework.

Years ago I saw results from @gabbayplasticsurgery in Beverly Hills and it completely rewired my brain. Because I, like most of you, thought arm lifts = dirty great scars.

Turns out… that’s not always because of the procedure. That’s a lot to do with the technique, how you take care of yourself afterwards, your skin type and what you do to help your surgeon.

I had reached peak “elephant bingo wings” and I was done pretending the gym was going to fix skin that had mentally and physically retired.

What I loved about his approach is that he doesn’t just hack everything away. He respects the structure, supports the tissue properly, and places the scar where it doesn’t scream at you.

Also… there was an *actual* earthquake during my surgery.
So if that’s not a stress test for surgical skill, I don’t know what is. Think “Survivor” and “Greys Anatomy” had a baby.

Do I take some credit? Obviously.
High protein, hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic drainage, and two years of consistently dragging myself to the gym like a woman possessed.

This wasn’t overnight. 2 years. This was surgery + discipline + patience (well… limited patience).

And I waited until everything had properly settled before showing you, because I wanted you to see the real result.

✅ The right type of premium quality filler (there are 100+ fillers on the market, we have tried them all, and can honestly say we only rate 5 of them). Yes we don’t like Sculptra, semi permanent fillers, HiFu and we would never use anything that isn’t reversible. Nothing against these brands, but if we really liked the products, we’d be using them. It’s as simple as that.

✅ The right increments of said filler
✅ Said increments in exactly the right planes. Exactly.
✅ If rejuvenating - replacing only what’s been lost, in exactly the right density and rheology
✅ If balancing - having enough experience to guess the quantities with a 99 per cent accuracy. If in doubt, inject over sessions.

This year has been our busiest year since the two years following lockdown - and the only thing we can put it down to, is that people finally waking up to the fact that their “bad looking” filler will not simply disappear , and can be dissolved and done properly.

Facelift patients (like myself!) are also understanding that surgery is not a “one and done”. There is no one quick fix treatment. Perfect pictures” have become embedded in everyday life. The way we take and share photographs has changed rapidly over the past decade.

This story about gorgeous little Tilly is honestly heartbreaking. A little girl who needs glasses with 17x times magnification just to see the world is asked to take them off for a “prettier” moment, as if her ability to function is somehow less important than how she appears. What does that teach her? That “fitting in” matters more than seeing clearly. That her “needs” are an inconvenience. That the version of her that works, that navigates the world, is somehow less acceptable than a curated image. It is completely ridiculous. These are not accessories, they are essential to function . So asking her to remove them, even for a moment, quietly tells her that who she is when she is supported is not the version people want to see. That is the part that is truly awful.

Perhaps it was inevitable that the “perfect photo” mindset would extend beyond images into real life. But the treatment of disabled pupils is nothing new. Many disabled adults who were in school between the 1970s and early 2000s have shared similar experiences. One woman was excluded from her school yearbook because she used a cane. We are not one trait, one moment, or one “imperfection” held up and judged in isolation. We are a collection of experiences, nuances, contradictions, glitches and perfections, all layered together over time. And it is that entire constellation that makes us whole, complex and unmistakably individual.

We are the sum of everything we are, not a single characteristic someone else decides is inconvenient or unpalatable.

Perfect pictures” have become embedded in everyday life. The way we take and share photographs has changed rapidly over the past decade.

This story about gorgeous little Tilly is honestly heartbreaking. A little girl who needs glasses with 17x times magnification just to see the world is asked to take them off for a “prettier” moment, as if her ability to function is somehow less important than how she appears. What does that teach her? That “fitting in” matters more than seeing clearly. That her “needs” are an inconvenience. That the version of her that works, that navigates the world, is somehow less acceptable than a curated image. It is completely ridiculous. These are not accessories, they are essential to function . So asking her to remove them, even for a moment, quietly tells her that who she is when she is supported is not the version people want to see. That is the part that is truly awful.

Perhaps it was inevitable that the “perfect photo” mindset would extend beyond images into real life. But the treatment of disabled pupils is nothing new. Many disabled adults who were in school between the 1970s and early 2000s have shared similar experiences. One woman was excluded from her school yearbook because she used a cane. Another, a wheelchair user, was made to sit in a “normal chair” for a class photo.

I was listening to lawyer James Sexton on a podcast and, as usual, nodding along like he was personally narrating my life choices. The man is painfully insightful when it comes to relationships.

But there was one thing he said that made me pause.

The idea that having children shouldn’t be your greatest achievement.

And I get it. I really do. On paper, reproduction is hardly a flex (although an autoimmune problem made it incredibly difficult for someone like me). Biology has been doing that job quite efficiently (for most) for a while.

But here’s the nuance.

Some of us weren’t raised in environments where childhood felt safe, or soft, or even particularly intentional. Some of us were very much… here by accident, raised by people who didn’t quite have the tools, capacity, or sometimes even the desire to do it well. no, my greatest achievement isn’t having children.

It’s raising them differently. I’ve succeeded degrees, built the business, created the financial stability, ticked all the boxes. And I’m proud of that. I worked for it, and I’ve grown a solid team that have done the same. But raising kind, secure, emotionally intelligent girls who feel loved, seen, and safe in ways I didn’t always feel growing up…. Feels f*cking massive to me.

It’s choosing, every single day, not to repeat what was normal to you.

So no, I don’t think it’s sad or small or “limited thinking” to say your children are your greatest achievement. I think for some of us, it’s the most powerful thing we’ll ever do (even with financial and economic success).

Also, let’s be honest, building a business is hard, but raising teenage girls with opinions, group chats, and emotional range? Olympic sport mate.

I picked this particular Stockholm vibe Scandi looking model to illustrate the points above because :

1. Fair skin is the least forgiving - and shows every lump and bump ✅

2. Ergo (I love that word!) If you can make thinner, delicate skin look fresh and undetectable - you’re golden ✅

3. This picture is 6 years old - and shows consistently natural, results. In fact, we’ve been keeping our vibe natural and fresh for 15 years now. We haven’t even changed our cannula technique even once in that time. We may have refined the fillers we used over the years - to keep pushing the envelope, but nothing more than that.

Are we incredibly strict in who we will treat?

Well yes, and if your lovely face is overfilled, or filled in the wrong places, or with the wrong filler … then we absolutely will not try and work around it.

We won’t treat you within six weeks of a wedding, if you are the bride.

If we think you are having work, to please someone else, or look like someone else we won’t treat you either.

But strict only mean the boundaries are there for you, to protect you. It’s why we are the size we are, and it’s why we grow every year ❤️

I went from a face that earned me a very good living as a model, to full moon face after two years of steroids just to help me carry my babies to term. Then straight into skeletal, post divorce stress face. And then, in what can only be described as an apocalyptically stupid decision, I agreed to be a model for a plastic surgeon who was later struck off. Remarkably, not even for this particular incident.

The irony that the worst filler face of my entire career turned out to be my own is not lost on me.

What followed involved dissolver drama, specialist products I had to travel to America for, and a long, humbling education in facial balance, restraint, and why more filler is very rarely the answer.

Twelve years later my entire practice is built on the lessons I learned from that absolute circus.

You would think I might at least smile to mark such a momentous occasion. But I didn’t. The only reason I took the photo was because I had been bawling my eyes out all night in absolute fear, wondering if we were about to lose our house. I was simply checking how red my eyes were and whether anyone could tell I had been crying.
(Spoiler alert: you absolutely could.)

My husband had just left. My babies were still in nappies. I had no family around me. I was in my 40s, hadn’t worked for a couple of years, and I was completely paralysed with fear.

But one thing I knew with absolute certainty: I had not gone through years of infertility to have my dream rainbow children only to fail to provide for them. That simply was not going to be the ending of my story.

Every now and again I post something like this and it is never to brag. It is always to offer a bit of hope to women who might be 10 or 15 years behind where I was then, standing in the same terrifying place. Everyone needs a signal of light, someone to look at and think, well she did it, so maybe I can too.

Well, here is yours.

When I send these photos to my best friends, they always say the same thing: bloody hell, it feels like another lifetime. And it does. It is actually quite surreal how far life can move when you just keep going.

I have manifested so much of this life, and yet I still feel like I am only scratching the surface.

And if anyone ever tells you it is too late, let me tell you this. I started all of this in my 40s. Now I am in my mid 50s, I feel better than I ever have, sharper than I have ever been, and more excited than ever about what comes next.

Honestly, I am only just getting started.
